Experienced Rider Course

COURSE FEE - $150.00

The Experienced Rider Course (ERC) was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Even if you've been riding for some time, there's always something new to learn. Increase numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to the Experienced Rider Course to hone their skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic.

You'll discuss with your peers how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risk, increase visibility and optimize your lane position. The Experienced Rider Course also covers protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care, the effects of alcohol, and other drugs on riding.

The ERC Suite courses may qualify graduates for insurance premium discounts with some motorcycle insurers.

You must wear protective gear as follows:

DOT approved helmet & eye protection
Full-fingered gloves
Long sleeved shirt or jacket
Long pants
Sturdy, over-the-ankle footwear
Class size is limited to 12 students

ERC outline:

5 to 6 hour course
All range-work — no classroom
(under age 18 will require the notarized signature of a parent or guardian — contact us for a copy of the paperwork!)
ERC exercises are performed on your own motorcycle
You must provide your own street-legal, registered, insured and inspected motorcycle (you will need to provide your motorcycle insurance card and your bike must pass the Rider Coaches' pre-course safety check)
